Make Kalimba Your After-Hours Receptionist

Forward your main business number to your new Kalimba line after office hours. During the day your phone still rings as normal; at 5 PM (or whenever you choose) the AI takes over, greets callers, and logs every conversation.

📱 iPhone (iOS 17)

Open Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding.

Toggle Call Forwarding on.

Tap Forward To and enter XXX-XXX-XXXX (your Kalimba number).

Back out—changes save automatically. Callers now reach Kalimba instead of voicemail.

💡 Want it automatic? In the Shortcuts app create an Automation: “At 5:00 PM → Set Call Forwarding On,” and another at 8:00 AM to switch it off.

🤖 Android (Pixel / Samsung)

Open the Phone app and tap the ⋮ menu → Settings.

Choose Calling Accounts → Call Forwarding. (Some models: Supplementary Services).

Select Voice calls → Always forward.

Enter XXX-XXX-XXXX and tap Enable.

🔄 With dual-SIM or eSIM devices you can forward only the business SIM and keep personal calls untouched.

☎️ Desk Phones & PBX

If you use a landline, VoIP desk phone, or a cloud PBX (8×8, RingCentral, etc.), set a time-of-day rule:

  1. Log into your carrier or PBX portal.
  2. Create a rule: After hours → forward to XXX-XXX-XXXX.
  3. Save & publish — Kalimba now catches every evening & weekend call.

Forward Your Current Number

Point your main business line to the Kalimba number you just bought. Takes 60 seconds:

📱 iPhone (iOS 17)

  1. Open Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding.
  2. Toggle Call Forwarding on.
  3. Tap Forward To and enter your Kalimba number (e.g. ).
  4. Back out—changes save automatically.

🤖 Android (Stock / Samsung One UI)

  1. Open the Phone app & tap the ⋮ menu → Settings.
  2. Choose Calling Accounts / Supplementary Services → Call Forwarding.

Most carriers treat it like an outgoing call—usually covered by your plan. Check with your provider.
Can I port my vanity number to Kalimba?
Yes. Email us the account PIN & latest bill; we’ll start the port (3-7 business days).
Is the AI multilingual?
It handles 50+ languages out of the box. Add language hints in your prompt for best results.
